On Tuesday 28th October, we’re offering two free workshops at the incredible Electric Palace cinema, in Harwich. Here, young composers will get the chance to dive into the world of film scoring and experiment with telling stories through music.
In this session we’ll be using Ableton to explore scoring to film, and discovering the impact that music can have on a movie. Can we turn a comedy into a horror? Or even a horror into a comedy!
Unleash your creativity and explore the magic of music in film. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to enhance your musical skills and have fun with fellow aspiring composers.
No experience or equipment is required, but if you have your own laptop you are welcome to bring this along.

Welcome young composers! 🎶 Join us at Electric Palace on October 28, 2025 at 10 AM for a fun workshop on Composing Music for Film (11 to 14yrs). In this two hour workshop you’ll can experiment with making your own futurist sci-fi soundscape, or perhaps a spooky horror soundtrack.
