Are you 15 to 19? Thinking about a career in music? CLIP Academy is for you!

Launching in 2024, CLIP Academy is a weekly series of workshops, masterclasses and opportunities for young musicians thinking about a career in music. Each week you’ll get hands on with professional music equipment, learn music production skills from award-winning artists and work towards a goal, like releasing your own music or performing live.

This project is made possible with the support of Youth Music.

Who is it for?

CLIP Academy is aimed at young people thinking about a career in music. Through workshops and masterclasses with our expert tutors and guest artists, you’ll learn new skills and get advice about routes into industry, and build your music portfolio through opportunities such as composing music, performing live and achieving a silver arts award.

CLIP Academy is aimed at young people 15 to 19 years old.

What to expect?

CLIP sessions will cover a variety of topics, such as; music production tutorials, performance opportunities, music marketing masterclasses, event production experiences and film scoring projects. Whilst we have topics in mind, the final content is shaped by the young people in the group to ensure the sessions are relevant and valuable to those in attendance.

CLIP Academy sessions are free and all equipment is provided. However participants are welcome to bring their own laptops/headphones should they prefer.
