Thank you to the National Lottery  for two years of funding for miniCLIP!

In 2024, based on feedback and demand from our members, we took the plunge to grow our offering in Colchester, expanding to multiple sessions at multiple age brackets; miniCLIP for 11 to 14 and CLIP Academy 15 to 19. This meant we could tailor the sessions better to each group, as well as reach a higher number of people overall. After a successful trial period, we are incredible excited to have secured £19950 from the national lottery to secure the future of our Colchester miniCLIP group through to July 2026.

Since 2019, CLIP has provided award winning weekly workshops for children and young people in Colchester and surrounding areas, welcoming participants regardless of their background, self-perceived ability and experience. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery’s Community Fund, we’re excited to be making our sessions even more inclusive, with training for staff on working with young people Special Education Needs, such as those with autism and those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

MiniCLIP Sessions are fun, creative and playful. Each week we experiment with exciting new music technology, listen and analyse exciting music and work collaboratively in a fun and supportive musical environment. MiniCLIP is designed to support those with specific needs, whilst building positive mental health and wellbeing of all participants.

Attendance is totally free, and no equipment or previous experience is required. Visit out whats on page to find out how you can get involved.
