CLIP Presents Turntable Festival, a celebration of turntable culture.

CLIP are incredibly excited to partner with Colchester Diverse Community Network  and bring a DJ stage to the renown Rice and Spice Festival. In celebration of sound system culture, we are running a stage at the festival with performances from incredible DJs Eli Turay, DJ Cable and Ritchie Khanage, and support slots featuring CLIPs young musicians.

In the run up to this event, we are producing three workshops for young people to develop skills in mixing and performing to develop a set which they’ll perform at the festival.

What is Rice and Spice Festival?

Celebrate Colchester’s diverse community through food, music and performances at the town’s annual festival of Rice and Spice – including children’s activities, workshops and a huge variety of food stalls.

Located in the lovely grounds of Colchester’s Firstsite art gallery, the Rice and Spice Festival offers an afternoon of good food, fun and entertainment.

The festival is a free event bringing together Colchester’s communities to celebrate their cultures and heritages.

It is built around the global theme of rice and spice and is underpinned by a commitment to diversity and equality.

The festival creates opportunities and platforms for all local communities in Colchester to showcase and share their heritages through food, dance, music, performances and the visual arts.
