Introducing ‘Migration’, a collaborative film for Yarmonics 2020.

Migration is a collaborative film made by CLIP for the YARMONICS festival 2020. Based upon the “Exquisite Corpse” game, the group collectively set a tempo of 90bpm and a key of Amin, with each musician then working independently to respond to the festivals theme of Migration by creating music and visuals. Through group discussion, repetition was noted as a key musical device , with one member stating that their music “follows the idea of a stampede of animals and the music ‘migrates’ and changes as animals move and overtake each other”.
